The Chameleon Diamond is one of the rarest diamonds we know about. Generally you do not see this often publicly displayed and are generally only seen by collectors or for very special occasions. One of the amazing features it has is that it is able to change colors when it has been exposed to different sources of light and when the temperature is very. It has been said that if it is left in a dark location for a period of time it will change color to yellow, when it is then introduced to light it is noticeable that it starts changing to a dark green color.
It is also prone to change colors when you introduce heat. It has been said that that a few are to warm it up that it starts to change to a deep yellow color slightly different to the yellow color that it changes to win in the dark. As you can probably guess because this is quite rare it is also fairly expensive. Because of their unique qualities the value of these change all the time, diamonds have been sent to sell for over $2 million. Many experts within the field still do not know how it can change color and it is just a complete mess they to them. The unique characteristics of the city make this a very collectible item but unfortunately very rare to find one for sale.
As we have said already it can change colors very easily it has the ability to change from olive green or greyish blue to yellowish green. But, of course it really depends on the light conditions at the time.
