  • DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANY ACER PRODUCT.I BOUGHT THE ASPIRE ONE FOR MY WIFE’S BIRTHDAY,THE SCREEN WENT IN TWO MONTHS.HAD TO PAY MYSELF TO SHIP IT BACK FOR REPAIR,THEY CALLED AND SAID THIS WAS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY,AFTER ONLY TWO MONTHS.I WILL NEVER BUY A ACER PRODUCT AGAIN.THEY ARE JUNK AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL,EVERYONE I SPOKE TO COULD BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH.VERY CHEAP PRODUCT,SPEND THE EXTRA AND GET A DELL,YOU WON’T BE SORRY.I HAVE A DELL AND HAVE NO COMPLAINTS.

  • There is a paucity of documentation with this computer. I also purchased a 2GB Ram, planning to

install it myself, but there is no information provided to guide me. This is very disappointing!

It makes me question the wisdom of making a purchase

on-line rather than at a local store which could offer technical support.

The computer itself is quite satisfactory, although

I’m having trouble getting used to the touchpad.

  • Just got this today- haven’t used it yet but right off I’m very upset that the battery sticks way out- is NOT AT ALL like the picture. It is round and increases the thickness of the netbook to well over an inch. The only way it could possible look like the photos is if they had a cover that went over the battery compartment when the battery was not attached. After having a regular laptop with a battery that sticks way out and gets caught on everything, definitely not psyched about this and especially the misleading and WRONG photos.

  • I purchased this netbook a week ago & so far everything is working great. I had been looking for one for a few months when I found this Acer for $280. Much better than anything offered at Bestbuy or any other retailer. I did upgrade to 2GB of ram but I have not noticed a big difference.

  • Joyce Greene says:

Just bought this netbook, and when I booted it up for the first time an error message popped up. The error message said it wasn’t able to connect to a disc and to push Ctrl-Alt-Del when the disc was properly connected. Since then, I’ve always had to push Ctrl-Alt-Del in order to start up the computer. It’s quite a hassle.

However, the computer starts up quickly. For those who are familiar with Windows Vista, Windows 7 is very similar. The netbook runs very quietly, and the keyboard is big enough to type accurately with. However, the touchpad took me a while to get used to, as there is only one button to click. I didn’t have trouble watching any videos on YouTube and am overall very satisfied with the product.

For a netbook that was under $300, I’d definitely recommend this one to my friends!
